What was FLPunlocker❓

The trial version of FL Studio has a limitation that prevents FLPs from being reopened. If someone who owns FL Studio opens a trial FLP and sends it back to the trial user, the trial user can reopen it.

FLPunlocker was a website I made that exploited this. The user could drag and drop an FLP into the website, and then download an unlocked version of it.

How it worked⚙️

A single byte of an FLP file determines if it is openable in FL Studio Trial. FLPunlocker changed this byte from 00 to 01

Why it's being removed🗑️

FL Studio recently started obfuscating FLPs to make them more difficult to edit. This means FLPunlocker doesn't work on newer versions. The FLPunlocker url will still work, but it will be removed from the tools section of barfy.net.
